Configure your domain
The Infoage Cloud Platform automatically provisions SSL certificates for verified domains. This guide covers domain configuration and SSL setup.
Domain verification process
When you add a domain during registration or in the dashboard:
- The platform provides an A record target IP
- You configure the A record at your DNS provider
- The platform verifies the DNS resolution
- Once verified, SSL is automatically provisioned
DNS requirements
Required records
| Record | Host | Value | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | @ | Platform IP | 300 |
| CNAME | www | yourdomain.com | 300 |
Optional records
| Record | Host | Value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| CAA | @ | 0 issue “letsencrypt.org” | SSL authorization |
| TXT | @ | v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all | Email deliverability |
SSL provisioning
Once domain verification succeeds:
- Automatic SSL: Let’s Encrypt certificate issued within minutes
- HTTPS redirect: HTTP traffic automatically redirected to HTTPS
- HSTS: HTTP Strict Transport Security enabled
- Auto-renewal: Certificates renewed 30 days before expiry
Subdomain support
You can add subdomains (e.g., app.yourdomain.com):
- Add CNAME record pointing to your main domain
- Verify in the dashboard
- SSL automatically extended to subdomain
Troubleshooting
SSL not provisioning
- Verify domain resolves to platform IP
- Check for DNS conflicts (AAAA records, other A records)
- Ensure CAA record allows Let’s Encrypt
Mixed content warnings
- Ensure all resources load over HTTPS
- Update hardcoded HTTP links in your application
- Check third-party integrations
Certificate renewal failures
- Verify domain still points to platform
- Check rate limits (Let’s Encrypt: 50 certs/week per domain)
- Contact support if persistent
